Notice Regarding Memphis Caucus Election

The Memphis Metro Caucus Election will be conducted 14 November 2009. Persons interested in candidacy for this election must submit an application to TNNAC. Applications may be submitted online or by USPS mail. Applications filed online must also be followed up by mailing a hardcopy with applicant’s signature. (After completing and submitting online form, close window or exit browser.) Date online applications are submitted will be considered as date of receipt. Applications filed by hardcopy only, must be postmarked no later than 7 November ‘09. Mailing instructions are provided on the application.

Signatory sheets, other required info (e.g. proof of residency, ID, etc.) and supporting documentation should be mailed along with the hardcopy of applicant’s application. TNNAC will need this information for the application review/approval process. TNNAC’s review date TBA, applicants may be present during their review.

Online applicants will receive a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours of submission. Applicants filing by hardcopy only, should allow 2 (two) days for delivery, and will receive confirmation of receipt by phone. Eligible candidates and voting participants must reside in one of the following counties: Shelby, Tipton or Fayette. Proof of residency is required for voting participants at caucus sign-in. To ensure voting, all participants must sign-in between 4 PM and 5 PM, late arrivals require caucus approval to participate in the election.
